Hi, I'm Beth

Welcome!

I'm a kind and warm person who genuinely believes every person deserves a safe space to be heard, understood and empowered to truly live their best lives. I'm here to help you on your journey, wherever you might be on that journey.

It can be tricky to find someone you connect with to work together on important life issues and to share your story. I believe connectedness is the real foundation for therapeutic work. I come from an authentic, curious and compassionate place to connect with you, person to person, first and foremost.

Having a comfortable and secure connection helps us do the hard yards together to explore and challenge the things getting in the way, and to celebrate your strength, power and resilience. There are opportunities for movement, freedom, creativity and growth in even the small moments, and we both can play a role in that. It's my role to help find those with you and make the most of them, and I see your role as having an openness to those opportunities and motivation to participate in a collaborative journey.

I work with a wide range of issues, with a particular passion for supporting people with experiences of trauma; family and relationships; grief and loss; mood and anxiety concerns; or experiences of stress, compassion fatigue and burnout. I have 12 years' therapeutic experience with adults, children and adolescents as individuals, in groups including families. I have also worked in various settings and environments, including remote settings. This means I'm flexible, open and adaptive in the ways I collaborate with you to identify and reach goals.

My Approach

Every person is unique. I aim to combine your lived experiences with evidence-informed approaches and interventions to develop an integrated, flexible and collaborative plan to help work through issues and reach goals that are sensitive to your individual needs - be they brief, short-term needs or longer term ones. I aim for building an open and transparent connection, where we share genuine reflections and perspectives. Some of the approaches I use include Attachment Based Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. I also believe in balance and flexibility so, when it's appropriate, I aim to use a bit of fun and humour to help energise our time together!
