We get it, finding the right psychologist is important. If for whatever reason things aren’t working out, it’s good to know you can try again with someone new.
How does it work?
To use our matching guarantee, simply log into your My Mirror account and complete the form from your dashboard. From there, we’ll provide you with a discount code so you can try again with a new psychologist.
If you have a valid Mental Health Plan, we will provide you with a bulk-billed code and your new psychology session will have zero out-of-pocket expenses.
If you are paying for your psychology sessions privately without a Mental Health Plan, the discount code will give you a value of $108 off your sessions.

Why would I change psychologists?
We do everything we can to find you the best match possible, ensuring our matching tool pairs you with a psychologist with the most relevant experience. Occasionally, your psychologist might not be the right fit, and this could be for a number of reasons.
It could be that you want to explore a certain treatment type not offered by your psychologist, or perhaps their style and approach isn’t right for you. We believe that strong therapeutic relationships are the key to successful therapy sessions.
It can take time to build rapport and establish a good foundation with a psychologist, but if things aren’t going to plan, our match guarantee is here to help.

What do I need to know before I use the match guarantee?
You can only fill out the match guarantee form once per person. At My Mirror, you can change psychologists at any time, but if you’ve had three or more sessions with your psychologist you are not eligible for the match guarantee code.
The code can only be used to book a 2nd or 3rd session with a psychologist you have not previously seen. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
I don’t like my therapy sessions, what should I do?
We understand that starting therapy isn’t easy, and you may find it uncomfortable at first. Your therapy journey doesn’t have to end just because you want to change psychologists. It’s important to acknowledge that many people don’t find their psychology sessions helpful because therapy challenges us to face some difficult issues and emotions.
Here at My Mirror, we strongly encourage our clients to communicate with their psychologists so they can make the most out of their therapy sessions. If there’s something you don’t like about your therapy, don’t be afraid to raise this with your psychologist.
