Hi, I'm Kathryn

I offer a warm and friendly environment for you to unburden yourself. I believe through collaboration we can work towards change in your life for the better.

I'm a general psychologist with an honours degree in Behavioural Science (Psychology) from the Queensland University of Technology. I have over five years' experience working within government, private and charity organisations. I have sought training in a number of different modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy. I have hands on experience via private practice in Dialetic Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is to offer practical strategies to help resolve the current issues you are seeking therapy for. Then I'd like to collaborate with you to create long lasting change. We may identify patterns of behaviour stopping you from living the life you want. Ultimately, I would like to leave you with the tools to manage life's challenges, effectively becoming your own therapist. By becoming your own therapist you will be able to resolve emotional disturbance as it arises. Building this kind of resilience I believe is the key to healthy functioning.
