Hi, I'm Melissa

Melissa has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, first as a registered nurse and now as a registered psychologist. She is a caring and authentic therapist who enjoys interacting with people and providing guidance and support.

Melissa grew up in the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia, where she commenced her career as a registered nurse. It was during her mental health rotations that she realised she had a passion for working with people to help improve their mental wellbeing.

Melissa is a wife and mother and has a personal appreciation of the complexities of living in blended family environments and the difficulties transitioning to the role of parent.

Melissa brings a wide range of work and life experience with her. She is gentle and supportive in her approach. She is respectful and empathetic, and she offers a warm and caring environment.

My Approach

Melissa is a person-centred and gestalt trained therapist and places a very strong emphasis on the relationship between herself and her clients. She has a particular interest in helping people experiencing relationship problems (family, work, personal), those who experienced childhood abuse/neglect, domestic violence, eating disorders and those living with an illness or supporting someone who is. Melissa has worked in hospital settings, community and not-for-profit sectors, universities and in corporate business.
