Hi, I'm Sharon

I am a registered psychologist with over ten years’ experience working with clients in different roles. I have a genuine passion for working in collaboration with my clients and using their strengths to help them address their concerns and achieve their chosen goals.

I am warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental. I work to provide a safe and supportive environment where my clients can explore their interests, develop goals, identify their strengths, and develop strategies to assist them to move forward. I have experience working with clients from varying backgrounds and of all ages (in particular, adults and older adults). I have worked with many kinds of issues including anxiety and mood problems, alcohol and drug use, workplace stress and burnout, relationship and communication difficulties, sleeping problems, and self-esteem issues, across a variety of settings, including telehealth, face-to-face individual and group therapy, correctional centres, and mental health facilities.

My Approach

Many areas of life impact on a client’s wellbeing, including physical and mental health, support systems, home-life, work environment, and social connections. As each person’s situation is different, I provide evidence-based approaches and strategies individually tailored to meet my client’s unique circumstances, challenges, and goals.

I work primarily within the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) frameworks, however also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My approach incorporates techniques and strategies from these frameworks that will best meet the needs of my individual clients.
